Industrial passages: HSE votes before flight
Plants, parks and tunnel-side galleries often have a stricter permit system than municipal sites. PipeGuardian treats that as a product constraint: medium, gas, electrical class and recovery are reviewed case by case. Fail the review and the offer is a non-hazard zone or a bench.
An industrial passage may be dry, well sized and clearly coded — it looks like a perfect MVP. It may also hold combustible dust, heat, chemical residue, or a recovery nightmare where “once the kit is in, the line stays down longer”. Industrial scenes are therefore not automatically first. They are first only when non-explosive, recoverable and supervised.
PG-X pre-research is especially dangerous in this context. Extinguishing media and insulation tape involve fire responsibility, contamination and false trigger. Without independent tests, certification and written site approval, the interface must not be rendered as an emergency product. The liability gate for active intervention sits above inspection.
